The CPX Vertical Windlass features a 316 stainless steel top cap and chain pipe with an alloy base so it is lighter than the all stainless steel V-Series deck units. With an emphasis on reliability, Lewmar has updated the architecture and reduced the number of parts to make this windlass easier to service. In addition to new styling, Lewmar has included a new IP56 splash-protected motor and worm drive gearbox for maximum strength and longevity in the marine environment. The CPX can be fitted with chain pipes for either starboard or port feed, allowing for paired installations. All models include circuit breaker, solenoid, up/down switch, wrap around stripper, manual override for emergency release and clutch cone drive for smooth control. A manual recovery option is available to provide anchor retrieval in case of power failure.
NOTE: This windlass is designed for use with 5/16" Grade 43, High-Test G4 chain. If you wish to use your boat's existing chain, but are unsure what you have, please consult the ACCO Chain Catalog for help with chain identification
